Technological advances surprise us every day, but some seem to be science fiction products. Among them is the newest Japanese creation: a dumpster that runs after the trash.
The so-called Smart Trash Can invention, or direct translation, Expert Garbage Can, goes after the garbage when thrown next to it. A sensor attached to the bottom of the can sends information to a computer that calculates where the object will fall and sends the command to the trash bin. That simple.
The expectation is that the prototype can be marketed within one year. Perhaps this will bring solutions to serious street cleaning problems in Brazilian cities.
