On Saturdays and Sundays, we gain more weight.
But new research reveals the complement of this information.
That throughout the week we lose weight.
The study was done by Cornell University (United States).
Also attended scientists from the University of Tampere (Finland).
It was followed by 80 women, between 25 and 62 years old.
The weight of all was recorded daily for 330 days.
From then on, a pattern of weight changes was established.
Apparently we started heavier at the beginning of the week (Sunday and Monday).
And we lose weight during the week.
Increases generally start on Saturday and decreases on Tuesday.
This pattern of compensation was stronger for those who lost or maintained their weight.
And it was less evident among those who gained weight slowly.
That is, when weighing yourself on Monday, beginning of all diets, the disappointment can be great.
The projected goal may seem further away.
But don't be discouraged: this fluctuation in body weight is natural.
The study was published in the journal Obesity Facts.
The tip is valid to be aware.
Of course, it is much harder to start a regime on the eve of the weekend.
But it's hard anyway.
