Hard work or luck.
Any other way to the top is liable to award winning accusations.
Apparently there is another way to be successful.
High income generators develop their money making skills in the womb.
So says a study by the Higher School of Economics, one of Russia's largest research institutions.
And what would this power indicate?
Evidence is that people with shorter index fingers and longer ring fingers are more likely to achieve financial success.
But the confirmation is only valid for men.
The explanation is that this finger ratio reflects the level of testosterone to which the baby was exposed during pregnancy.
The researchers conducted data analysis on about two thousand people.
The participants, men and women, were between 25 and 60 years old.
The results showed a negative correlation between the income and the proportions of the mentioned fingers in the women.
The effect was negative even considering salary factors such as gender, age, education level and position.
For men, it was the opposite.
The exception was small men with a high educational level.
The study was published in the scientific journal Economics and Human Biology.
