These are not a few people.
It is estimated that vegetarians move a market that grows 40% per year, only in Brazil.
The trend is accompanied by official guidelines, which recommend herbal nutrition associated with protein sources.
Still, one of the largest global meat sellers continues to ignore the new demand.
But it begins to correct the course.
The McDonald's fast food chain started selling McVegan.
It is a sandwich without ingredients of animal origin.
It is made with soy burgers, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, ketchup and mustard.
The sandwich costs € 3 (about 12 reais).
But don't get so excited about the news.
This is because it is available in a single chain store in the city of Tempere, Finland.
And there is still the time factor.
The option is on the menu until November 21 only.
Depending on receptivity, the company can expand its marketing.
It seems like a lot of effort to eat essentially junk food.
After all, it is unclear whether soy steaks are grilled along with the others.
And if the initiative gets loas, an effective marketing gimmick must be recognized.
