A Barcelona-based startup is developing a 3D printer capable of producing bread, pasta and derivatives.
The discovery could be the beginning of a new era for 3D printing. Unlike other machines of this type, which only allow printing on one material, it can use up to six different materials.
The idea behind the invention is that you can set up the machine before you leave for work and have your food ready when you return. The printer has also been designed to connect to the internet. This way you can share your food with your friends and exchange recipes with other machine owners.
The next step foreseen by the startup is to include in the printer plates that can be made with more specific ingredients. To this end, the company is already working in partnership with chefs to test and find out what will work with the machine.
