The San Sebastián Festival is one of the most prestigious in the world.
And this is the city with the most Michelin stars per square meter.
Therefore, within the film competition, there is a show dedicated to gastronomy.
It's Culinary Zinema, which starts on September 22nd.
And yes, "zinema" with "z", as you spell it in the local language.
In the current edition will be presented seven films.
The opening will be with the Argentinian documentary Tegui: Un Asunto de Familia.
The work presents the crazy story of chef German Tegui.
He closes his 22-year-old restaurant and takes cookware and staff to offer alfresco dinners in the Andes.
In the South Korean representative (“Little Forest”), a young woman finds redemption in country cooking.
Canada's film, focusing on empowerment, features the world's top female chefs.
Other countries represented are France, Japan, South Korea and Singapore.
But the best is yet to come.
Each day, at the end of the exhibitions, a dinner will be served.
And the top chefs are a separate attraction.
On the last day, for example, the documentary “Bihar dok 13” will be presented.
In it we see the work of the Basque Culinary Center culinary school.
After this exhibition, the students in person will serve the dishes shown on the screen.
