I have lost count of the times I wrote and spoke in public about the importance of physical activity for the good of your body. But what if your exercise also did a greater good?
Charity Miles is a free app that lets you support a cause through your physical exertion. You choose an institution to help and then indicate whether you will walk, run or cycle. The app tracks the distance traveled, and every mile you walk or run, you donate 25 cents to your chosen institution. If you're pedaling, that's 10 cents donated per mile.
