If the subject gathers knowledge about healthy food and travel, it's me. From 23 to 27 February, Gulfood, the largest global food industry fair, will be held in Dubai. As I have my bags ready for a trip through the Arabian Peninsula, I'll check it out!
During antiquity, it was from there that came great gastronomic innovations, such as spices and exotic spices. Now 152 countries present their news in the area of food, keeping an eye on the rich consumer market in the East.
For the 25th edition of the event, which will take place at Dubai World Trade Center, around 80 thousand visitors are expected. One of the programmed exhibitions is FlavourTech, which is dedicated to presenting releases that favor alternative modes of preparation and natural ingredients. My interest is in this area as well as in releases for diet, health and wellness.
Another segment, Halal World Food, will feature 450 booths from 50 countries. This market is estimated at $ 1 trillion annually, representing 20% of the world total. Food classified as "halal" is that authorized by the Muslim holy book, the Koran. That is, it is a very specific market - and constantly evolving.
And our Brazil promises to present products and innovations for sheik no blemish! Apex's national exhibitors' pavilion is always a highlight.
These are just some of the attractions of this grand event. Wait for the news I'll bring in the suitcase!
