Eternal beauty

In that yellowed poster, we seem to recognize someone… Yes, aesthetic standards are strict. Entertainment industry and our choices, even without realizing it, are aligned. After all, do we prefer or are we programmed to like the same things?

Without realizing it, the stars and personalities we see today on magazine covers are very similar to those our parents and grandparents have longed for. To prove this theory, we find two works exhibited online that compare, side by side, the past and present of universal beauty.

One is by photographer George Chamoun, who made the Iconatomy series. The other bears the signature of Marc Ghali, who named his series Then & Now. In these very similar works, the two artists used the technique known as mashup. Mashup is a creation process in which images, songs or scenes are mixed, combined or modified to generate a new work.

That is, beauty has no secret. What it really looks like is that it has a formula. If you don't fit in, the way out is to escape this trap in search of your own style. To be at peace and happy with yourself.
