Gelatin Candy - Recipe to Take Your Benefits in the Bag
Lucilia buds caipirinha - Gelatin goes well for happy hour
Coffee gives us energy and makes us live longer.
And, combined with the gym, it even helps burn body fat and lose weight - see here.
So it is a great idea to increase your consumption.
But it may be that the habit causes your stomach to burn.
Or the heat may take away the appeal of the drink.
If so, how about eating it cold and in the form of dessert?
This is Koohii Zerii, the coffee gelatin.
The candy is very common in Japan.
Usually this dessert is made with little sugar.
So it is customary to serve with a trickle of condensed milk - see my light version here.
The following recipe yields four servings, with just 43 calories each.
1 pack of unflavored gelatin
2 tbsp hot water
3 tbsp culinary sweetener
2 cups of fresh coffee
Dissolve the gelatin in hot water in a small bowl.
Put the gelatin, coffee and sweetener in a pan.
Bring to a boil over high heat.
Distribute in four cups.
Take to cool until firm for about six hours.
